Publication: Mechanical properties of functionalized flexible MOFs

Five years and a half after I defended my PhD, this is probably the last publication coming out from the multiple collaborations I had during my stay in Versailles…
And it’s a pretty interesting one, about the effect of ligand functionalization onĀ  mechanical properties of flexible MIL-53 type MOFs.

Publication: CO2 capture review in Chem. Eng. J.

The third review I contributed to during my time in Kaust is finally available online, published in Chemical Engineering Journal. This time, it is not dealing on materials design, but on CO2 capture from low concentration mixtures. I believe this article written with all the expertise and conviction of my friend and ex colleague Dr. Youssef Belmabkhout will help people understanding more the little details driving the CO2 sorption properties and making one material random, interesting, or even suitable for industrial use…

Publication: Methane storage and hydrocarbon separation in tbo-MOFs

During my time in Kaust I have been involved in visualization project in collaboration with the Kaust VisLab.

With the great help of Daniel Acevedo and some of my colleagues my colleagues, I directed the creation of a video that explains one of the powerful design approach to design MOFs.

Besides this exciting video project, I really believe the sorption/separation studies presented in Hasnaa and Youssef’s paper, just accepted in RSC Advances are pretty interesting !

Publication: Intra-framework cross-linking in functionalized UiO-66

I am pleased to be involved in this nice publication from my friend Florence Ragon ! This article about intra framework cross linking of anhydrides in UiO-66 MOFs has been accepted for publication in J. Mater. Chem. A.
The functionalization of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with free carboxylic groups is naturally difficult due to their potential coordination with metal ions. The impact of functionalizing the archetypical metal organic framework UiO-66(Zr) with free pending carboxylic groups was thus studied by a multi-technique approach.
